Plans

After 10 years entering the ballot for tickets to Wimbledon we were finally successful!!!  We decided to make a holiday of it but only had about 7 weeks to plan a 6 week trip to the UK.  Leaving from the Gold Coast Airport at 6am on Monday the 27th May and back to the Gold Coast at 10.30am on Wednesday the 10th July.

We fly into London, pick up the hire car and head southeast to Kent, travel clockwise around the UK for 37 days, going from Margate to Lands End, up through Wales, Scotland to John O'Groats then back to London for the last 4 days. Our Wimbledon tickets are for the 5th July (Friday of the first week of the Championships).  We have booked all our accommodation through Airbnb so it's a bit of a lottery, planning the trip so late during the peak holiday season left our choices a bit limited but I'm sure (as in the past) all will go somewhat according to plan?  No doubt if it doesn't Pam will have a story to tell.
