As usual the flights are a gruelling fight to the finish. Forty hours from leaving home to having a shower at the B&B, that's about 24 hours in the air, the other waiting around and getting to and from everywhere we need to get to.
I'm sure (as usual) it will all be worth it?
No incidents, Pam slept about 5 hours and I got about 7 hours on the last leg to London so we hit the road running but soon ran out of puff. We got into Heathrow at about 5.10am, walked straight through passport control and it looks like noone was working at customs, didn't even have anyone there to tell us where to go so no holdups at all. No one waiting at the carhire place, in and out in no time and on the road, 2 hours to our B&B, stopped for a breakfast snack on the way, contacted our host and the room was ready, glorious shower and change.
Decided to head down to the beach at Folkestone (about 25kms from home) for a look around and to stay awake. Needless to say we got lost in Folkestone a couple of times - words were spoken but all is forgiven, we won't mention it again. Weather was overcast but no rain, about 15 degrees, so not too bad. Had fish and chips at the harbour, did some grocery shopping and got back home about 4, ready for some sleep. Blogging and unpacking (sorting out suitcases) will keep us awake a little longer. Will be walking down to the local for a cold drink later then home for some biscuits and dip/cheese/salami for tea before we crash and sleep forever!!!
Till tomorrow old chaps, bye bye.

| Ended up on top of a cliff looking down at the 'beach'. Those people you can see on the beach; when they walked we could hear the stones crunching under their feet. |
